THIS IS MY STORY
I was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, and
I was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, and got my first taste of the hair industry at 15, working in a local salon. At the time, I wasn’t entirely sure if I wanted to pursue hairstyling—honestly, all the grumpy old ladies had me second-guessing myself! But after high school, I decided to go for it and enrolled in hair school. It was a wild ride, filled with amazing experiences and lasting memories. Out of the 12 people I went to school with, I’m the only one still working as a hairstylist—and that still surprises me.
For the next 15 years, I lived and breathed hair. It was my passion, my career, my everything. But then I faced a setback. I got injured and couldn’t continue working full-time. It forced me to explore other avenues and even travel the world. But no matter where I went or what I did, I always found my way back to hair. It’s in my blood, and it’s what I love to do.
Eight years ago, I met my husband. He wasn’t my husband then, of course, but fast forward, and five years ago, we had our beautiful baby girl. She’s my pride and joy, and the reason I strive to be better every single day. So much has happened in these past years—ups, downs, and everything in between. We’re now settled in the home my husband built for us, and our little girl just started kindergarten this year. We’re both working our dream jobs, trying to thrive in this crazy world, and making the most of every moment.
